ARCS Updates (August 2018): Changes on Unmatched Transactions & More

Written by Michelle Heath | August 02, 2018

The August updates for Oracle's Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) are here. In this blog post, we’ll outline new features in ARCS, including changes to filtering on unmatched transaction matching, considerations, and more.

We’ll let you know any time there are updates to ARCS or any other Oracle EPM cloud products. Check the US-Analytics Oracle EPM & BI Blog every month.

The monthly update for Oracle ARCS will occur on Friday, August 17 during your normal daily maintenance window.

ARCS New Features

Auto Match Tolerance Levels can be Expressed as a Percent and Variance Limit

In Transaction Matching, an enhancement was added to the auto match calculations to allow tolerance levels to be expressed as a percentage and a variance amount. In the past, only values could be entered for tolerance levels. This change to the auto match calculations affects:

  • Default attribute mapping
  • Auto match rules
  • Manual match rules

Changes to Filtering on Unmatched Transactions in Transaction Matching

In Transaction Matching, filters are now saved for each user by match type, match process and data source. This means that a user can log out and come back in and retain their filtering choices. The Status field that was originally on Unmatched Transactions was moved to Filter Conditions where you can use the filter condition, Attribute, to view All, New, or Supported.

New Reconciliation List Column Available for Days Overdue

In Reconciliation Compliance, a new column showing the Days Overdue for a reconciliation can be selected for display. For example, it will show 0 Days Overdue if the Preparer is late but overall the reconciliation is not overdue.

Considerations

Academy

In the Academy, some pages and icons may appear different in the video and the Cloud service.

Using Refresh

It is a best practice to use Refresh within the ARCS user interface rather than performing a browser refresh.
