The March updates for Oracle's Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) have arrived. In this blog post, we’ll outline enhancements to transaction matching, enhanced user experience in reconciliation compliance, considerations, and more.

We’ll let you know any time there are updates to ARCS or any other Oracle EPM cloud products. Check the US-Analytics Oracle EPM & BI Blog every month.

The monthly update for Oracle ARCS will occur on Friday, March 16 during your normal daily maintenance window.

ARCS New Features

Migrating from ARM to ARCS

You can migrate from Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management’s (FCM) Account Reconciliation Manager (ARM) module to ARCS. The FCM release must be at 11.1.2.4.250 or later to perform this migration. See the “Administering Oracle Accounting Reconciliation Cloud” guide for detailed instructions.

Transaction Matching: Enhancements to Unmatched Transactions

This update includes these enhancements to the Unmatched Transactions dialog:

Viewing More than 1,000 Transactions: You can now scroll and see more than 1000 transactions.

Select All Transactions Capability: You can now use a Select All check box to select all transactions for a given data source. Select All can be used to match, adjust, support or delete transactions.

Export to .CSV File: You can now export transactions from the Unmatched Transactions dialog to a comma separate value (.CSV) file for further review offline.

Provision Users Audit Report

A script is now available to automate the process of creating an audit report for provisioned users. This report shows the users and associated roles or groups that changed since the last time the report was generated.

New Rest API for ARCS

You can now use a new Account Reconciliation Cloud REST API to monitor reconciliations in Reconciliation Compliance for a given period and filter name.

Removal of Support

Enhanced User Experience in Reconciliation Compliance

As of early calendar year, 2018, the old method of accessing the Reconciliation List, Transactions List, and Profiles List will no longer be available. Enhancements to the Reconciliation Compliance user interface that were introduced several months ago provided a more intuitive and improved user experience, including Reconciliation, Transaction and Profile List Views, Manage Reports, and common use of a filter bar across multiple EPM Cloud services. These changes provide you with quick, easy navigation.

Considerations

Change in Transaction Matching Table Requires Custom Reports Revision

Transaction Matching transaction reports created prior to 18.02 will give invalid/wrong results from 18.03 onwards. This happens because a change was made and the Transaction Match ID is now stored in the respective dynamic tables (TM_TRANS_*) in the MATCH_ID column and the TM_MATCH_TRANS table is deprecated from 18.02. This requires that custom reports on transactions using TM_MATCH_TRANS must be changed to use the transactions dynamic table (TM_TRANS_*). In a future update, this will not be needed. Sample queries can be created using the Transaction Matching report builder.
